The news is in! Jamie Lee Curtis won Best Supporting Actress at last night’s 95th Academy Awards! We couldn’t be more thrilled for the actress. Her performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once captured global audiences and revealed what we have all known all along - Jamie Lee Curtis is a boss!
Not only did she give the performance of a lifetime but she was the epitome of perfection on the red (or should we say champagne) carpet. We spoke with Celebrity Hair Stylist, Sean James, who used FHI Heat styling tools to create her Oscar worthy hair style. We were able to get the full breakdown of the look!

“So originally, we thought of maybe doing something a little bit different, but for this year‘s Oscars, we decided to go with a classic beautiful Hollywood Style.
Working with Jamie Lee Curtis over the years and now for the Academy Awards, I had so many options of different hair brands to use. My favorite new blow dryer for her hair is FHI Heat’s Innovator Pro Speed Dryer. With its pistol grip, extreme speed and HydraHeat technology, it is truly the next evolution in hairdryers.
Step 1 - On cleansed, towel, dried hair, I applied, High Altitude Spray and spread it evenly throughout the hair.
Step 2 - With a small round brush, I go through the hair piece by piece and create lift, to give the hair a bend with The Innovator Dryer until all of the hair has been done.
Step 3 - My secret trick – I use the Platform Plus Styling Iron, and I just hit the fringe area with it, piecing it out and making it a little bit more spiky but still keeping the lift from the round brush at the roots
Step 4 - I break up the hair by piecing it out with my favorite gel, Total Control by FHI Heat
Step 5 - After Jamie has helped me piece out all the pieces she likes, I spray the hair with a light hold hairspray Stay Beautiful by FHI Heat.
