How To Make Your Blowouts Last The Winter

During the winter months, you need to keep up with your hair routine, even as the winds blow and the air dries. Although you might be freezing cold at this time of year, you still need to maintain your coveted style. And a fantastic blowout that lasts is definitely at the top of the list! There is just something about a blowout that makes you feel beautiful and put-together, and at FHI Heat, we take our blowouts very seriously. When you use FHI Heat products and tools to create your blowout, you know you are getting top care for your hair, and that your blowout will look hydrated, luxurious, and full. There are many tips to creating the perfect blowout with FHI Heat by your side, as well as keeping the blowout intact even when the winter winds blow.

Imagine the Innovation

A long-lasting blowout needs to start with the best possible conditions. To this end, make sure that you have clean and nourished hair to begin the process. When it comes to at-home blowouts, there is no greater tool than our new Innovator Pro Speed Power Dryer. Our fastest, lightest, and most powerful hair dryer has an ultralight design meshed with our Digital BLDC Motor that will literally blow you away. With three speeds and three power settings, you can achieve the look that is right for you.  Our ultra-quiet and eco-friendly machine take care of the environment, both the people you live with and the world. Low sound output and low EMF emissions are both beneficial. Our Hydraheat™ Technology is king in the Innovator Pro Speed Power Dryer, providing moisture that smooths your hair while it eliminates static and reduces frizz. This is especially important in the winter months. Negative ions provide shine and hydration while drying. You will also be able to dry your hair in a fraction of the time. With 111,000 RPM, the Innovator Pro Speed Power Dryer dries hair in under 8 minutes.

The Process

Once you have your hair dryer ready, prep your hair with our Full Blown Volumizing Mousse - 7 oz. Apply it to damp hair, and this uniquely-textured product will provide no crunch or clumping, even as it is a memory control formula that will leave your hair full of volume and bounce. After applying the mousse, separate your hair into sections, especially around your face. With our Innovator Pro Speed Power Dryer and Ceramic Boar Bristle Brush - 1”, take one section of your hair at a time and dry thoroughly. With this method, you will be able to achieve luxurious shine and volume.

Sleep on Silk

You probably already know how good silk is for your hair, as many hair experts tout the importance of sleeping on a silk pillowcase to avoid tangles and roughing up your hair. But if you want to keep your blowout fresh for days, a great tactic is to wrap it in satin while you sleep.  A satin bonnet that covers your entire head will keep your hair intact and keep it away from the sweat your body might produce in the night. Plus, it will just feel good against your hair all night!

Avoid Humidity

Speaking of sweat, moisture of any kind is bad for business when it comes to a blowout. Although it might seem counterintuitive in the already dry air of winter, you definitely want to avoid moisture whenever possible. To make your hair behave while taking a shower, you might already be wrapping your hair in a shower cap. Take it a step further and put a satin scarf or headband under the shower cap as well. This will keep your hair as far away from the moisture of the shower as possible and keep your beautiful blowout intact.

With winter winds blowing, now more than ever you need to create a blowout that will last. With these tips, you can enjoy your blowout for multiple days without feeling like the winter winds have sucked the life out of it!

FHI Heat has made a name for itself in the hair styling industry by expertly utilizing the best materials and cutting edge hair technology, constantly sitting at the forefront of hair innovation.

FHI loves to reach for ceramic enhanced with the addition of tourmaline when crafting majority of their hot tools. This approach is crucial because ceramic distributes heat more evenly than traditional metal-only plates, thereby reducing the risk of hair damage. This even heating avoids the problematic hot spots typical of other materials, leading to more uniform styling results.
