Golden Globe Awards: Sleek Bob, 3 Ways

By Esther Kim & Sean James

Awards Season has officially begun with the Golden Globe Awards and we're here for all the looks. There was a clear hairstyle trend this past Sunday - the Sleek Bob. Here are three different ways to style your hair like the stars, all from the mind of our talented Artistic Director, Sean James.

How to get Naomi Watts, "Stay Beautiful“ #sensational20’s look

1.
Add Stylus High Altitude root lift spray to towel dried hair, and blow dry the hair out smooth and from the face and over to one side, with a medium sized round brush.

2. Once dried and directed over to the best side that you prefer, take a tail comb and select your part. You can select from the outside corner of the eye for best effect (choose your best eye). With a 1 ½” barrel curing iron, taking 1” vertical sections, wind the hair forward toward the face around to the middle of the back of the head and repeat on the other side. When completed let cool into shape.

3. Brush the curls out to form and sculpt into waves bringing the hair all together.

4. With a small quarter size of Stylus Total Control maximum hold gel (you can always add more if you need it ), rub it on the palms of your hands, and now along the part on both sides, and through the top and front of the hair, you can comb it in for a more slick look.

5. Now with a diffuser on the end of your hair dryer, dry the gel into the hair, the diffuser will soften the airflow and not mess up your #sensational20’s look.

6. With Stylus Stay Beautiful light hold dry hairspray  give an overall light spray to secure the #sensational look into place.
