Easy Summer Hairstyles For Hot Summer Days

The heat and humidity are upon us, but that doesn’t change the fact that you want to look your best. When everything you touch is sticky and you just can’t cool off, you’d do anything to get your hair off your neck. Odds are you have some go-to hairstyles to beat the summer heat, but it is always nice to find a few more for your arsenal. Whether you are dressing up or dressing down, the easy hairstyles for hot summer days below will get you to the pool or the restaurant in no time, and will leave you looking chic and feeling your best.

Messy Topknot

Sophistication meets cool in this easy-to-imitate topknot. Your long hair will be thankful for this neck saving look. First, create a triangle section in the front that you secure with a clip, then brush the rest of your hair into a sleek high ponytail. Carefully comb the top section into the ponytail, securing it together with a hair elastic. Twist the entirety of your hair and secure it with bobby pins to the top of your head. If you want to take it to the next level, use bobby pins in the shape of a “v” to hold your hair as well as decorate it. And speaking of holding your hair, our variable hold hairspray is perfect for hot summer days. It will not weigh your hair down but will give you the support you are looking for.

Short Voluminous Pony

Although it is relatively easy to put your long locks up, sometimes short-haired people feel short-changed. But we have a look for you:  a short little sassy pony with a whole lotta lift. After volumizing your hair, (we recommend this volumizing mousse which will add depth to your look without leaving your hair looking crunchy or gritty), tease it from the crown by gently combing backwards. If you did it correctly, it will look a little wild when you are done. Pull back the top and secure with two bobby pins. Bring the bottom together in an elastic for a mini little pony tail.

Low French Pony

If you want a little more intricate of a style, but are not in the mood or don’t have the dexterity to go all the way to a braid, this topsy ponytail will be a refreshing change for you on a hot day. Begin by making 3 even ponytails from the crown of your head to the bottom. After securing with elastics, loosen the top elastic and flip the second pony up and through the hole. Then combine the middle pony together with the top. Our Shine Express Hair Mist is the perfect finish to this look and will give you the luster you are looking for.

French Twist

Is there a look more sophisticated than the French twist? If so, we haven’t found it yet. The French really understand hair and refinement. As you might know, the first hair curling tool was patented there and they’ve never looked back! But now it is time to shake things up a little bit, and take the elegance to a different degree.

Shabby Chic French Twist

If you’d like a little more “shabby” than “chic,'' go for a messy French twist. After blow drying your hair on a cool setting, (our handle-less blow dryer gives you the precision and power you need,) pull your hair back as though you were creating a ponytail, then follow your hands to the ends to create the twist. Twist your hair to whatever side you want to. When you reach the crown of your head, secure with bobby pins and pouf out the top a bit for a messy but sophisticated look.

Ponytail Wrap

This look is a great look for a dinner date or a club. Make sure your hair is slightly dirty and texturized before you get started. Add our client-favorite root lift spray in order to give your hair the texture it needs as you get started. Create a ponytail that is slightly off center, leaving two inches of hair out on either side. Next, create loops by grabbing small sections of hair from each side and wrapping them around the ponytail, securing them with elastics. Using a Bounce Pro Curling iron like this client favorite to curl the tiny sections of hair left in the front.

Don’t let heat and humidity dampen your fun. With our quality FHIHeat products, we can help you tame the heat and tickle your tresses so you put your best look forward. With a little finesse and some easy chic styles, you and your hair will be the life of the party wherever summer takes you.
