Jamie Lee Curtis Looks Sharp in Knives Out, and Kills the Red Carpet Premiere

Jamie Lee Curtis has become a Hollywood staple, appearing in many iconic films and receiving several awards. Her look has always been nothing short of powerful, due in part to her defining short and sexy hair. That magic, however, does not happen on its own. Curtis puts her trust into FHI Heat’s Artistic Director, celebrity stylist, Sean James to create the stunning looks that grace her red carpets.

Of course, Curtis turned to Sean for the November 14th premiere of her newest film, star-studded murder-mystery, titled Knives Out. True to form, he pulled out all the stops for her red carpet look at the Regency Theater, Westwood. He additionally created and styled her while on set of the movie. In this tantalizing thriller about a wealthy dysfunctional family gathering that kicks off with a murder, Curtis plays Linda Drysdale Thrombey, a real-estate mogul and powerful family anchor. The long-awaited release is set for this Friday, November 22nd.

Like the delivery of her lines, Sean James gives Curtis a look that is icey, crisp, and fierce. When asked how Sean created the platinum look, he told reporters that, “In the movie Curtis’ character, Linda Drysdale Thrombey, wears a bleach blonde platinum perfect look that I created for her at Matthew Preece Salon using Neo Bond hair protector, and Wella Blondor Toning with a mix of 9 level toners by shades EQ, it was styled on set with stylus hair care and FHI Heat tools supplied to the incredible hair and makeup team Luisa Abel makeup and Kelvin Trajan hair.”

On premiere night, Sean used the Platform 2000 Chrome blow dryer by FHI Heat and High Altitude Root Lift by Stylus Hair Care. Masterful use of a round brush shaped the style, and the Stay Styled hair spray by Stylus Hair Care was used to keep each strand in place.

Per Sean James’ advice, Curtis often leans on the FHI Heat Unbrush, which she uses religiously when Sean James isn’t around. Its light, yet firm effect on hair is among her favorites when it comes to hairbrushes. It’s no wonder why she trusts Sean James with her elegant looks. His meticulous care for his clients, attention to personalized detail, and calming energy are among the reasons why celebrities work with James. That, and his undeniable talent.
