Drawing inspiration from Joan of Arc, along with the texture of her Alexander McQueen gown, hairstylist Laini Reeves created a messy Dutch braid for Emily Blunt. "Once we saw the dress, we all instantly knew this was the look and knew what we were going to do," says Reeves. "We landed on [the fish tail] because it showed femininity, but with an undone texture." To create the look, Reeves curled Blunt's hair FHI Heat Platform 1 1/2” Professional Curler, then sprayed The One by Frédéric Fekkai One and Then Some Dry Texturizing Spray throughout the hair, raking it through with her fingers to bulk it up. Once the hair was braided and pinned in place, Reeves finished off the look with a bit of hairspray.
