Glossary


Nano Fuzeion - FHI Heat's proprietary collection of three specific nano particles: nano titanium (Ti), nano titanium dioxide (TiO2) and nano silver (Ag). The fusion of these three nano particles creates a synergistic effect that dramatically increases their wellness-providing characteristics. Nano Fuzeion is showcased in all of the latest generation heat styling tools from FHI Heat.

 



Nano Silver
- Nano silver kills 80% of the harmful microbes that inhabit human skin and hair for less irritation and trouble-free hair that shines with the most vibrancy possible.

 



Nano Titanium -Nano titanium is a space-age material that enhances the effect of the ions produced by the ceramic tourmaline.

 



 

Nano Titanium Dioxide - Nano titanium dioxide is a remarkable compound that is used to sterilize and purify the hair, lifting deposits and odor from the hair as you style.


 

Far Infrared Heat - Utilizes a smooth heat wave that does not damage the surface it penetrates.



Ceramic Tourmaline - Tourmaline is a precious gem stone that emits a measurable ionic charge. This jewel is put into practical application by suspending tourmaline particles in high-quality ceramic on the plates of the irons and the inner workings of the blow dryers to reduce static electricity and enhance the shine benefits to the hair.



PTC Heater - A class of ceramic heating elements that provides constant heating and allows for a peak temperature of 410'F. Auto sense control feature allows the heater to automatically replenish heat based on the thickness and texture of the hair that is being styles. Currently used in all of FHI Heat's Technique G2 irons.



PTFC
- Large ceramic heating element that allows for adjustable temperature control and provides the widest temperature range from 140 to 450 degrees F. This temperature range is ideal for all hair types. Currently used in all FHI Heat Platform series irons.



ICHS (Integrated Ceramic Heating System) - Patented Integrated Ceramic Heating System provides virtual instantaneous heat recovery through the use of a specially-designed network of tungsten heating conductors. This heating system is sandwiched between 6 layers of pure ceramic. This ICHS provides the widest temperature range from 140 to 450 degrees F. Exclusively available in the FHI Heat Runway iron.


 

DC Motor - Direct current type electrical motor that allows for an ultra light and powerful airflow from blow dryers. The lightweight design of these DC motors allows for the lightest possible blow dryers with a great blend of durability and power. This DC type of motor is in FHI Heat's Nano Weight Pro 1800, 1850 and 1900 blow dryers.



AC Motor - Alternating current type electrical motor that has a very powerful and durable nature. These typically have more power and durability than DC motors at only fractional weight gains. This is the choice if you prefer raw power and balance in design. This AC type motor is in FHI Heat's Nano Salon Pro 2000 and EPS 2100 dryers.


 

EMF - An electromagnetic field is produced by all types of appliances and has harmful side effects to humans. FHI Heat's tools all use the lowest EMF levels possible by using insulation and specific tuning.



EPS - Elite Professional Series, a professional, high-end tool line by FHI Heat, uses the newest and most powerful solutions for heated styling tools for the most effective performance and elite presentation possible. The EPS tools also look as good as they perform in the latest generation Arctic Silver Metallic finish with ultra modern packaging.



RAPID TEK - This is a super-sized PTFC heater that has the largest footprint and class leading performance heat up times, currently used in the EPS styling irons. The over-sized shape of this heater allows for even heat distribution, constant operating temperatures, and provides virtual instantaneous heat recovery. It also has all of the benefits of the PTFC heater with its 140'F-450'F versatility.

 



Single-Pass
- This term refers to a tool being able to process hair straight in one pass, saving time and energy. Most flat irons require more than one pass for a section of hair to get processed perfectly due to the heater not being able to replenish the heat quickly enough.



Adjustable Heater
- Heater that allows a dial to control that temperature at which the tool operates. Currently in FHI Heat's Platform EPS, and Runway irons.




HRC (Hair Renewal Crystals) - HRC is a compound we have dubbed "Hair Renewal Crystals." The main components of this compound are hydrolyzed jojoba protein, jojoba butter and jojoba amino acids, which are derived from the restorative jojoba plant grown in the Sonoran Desert. This exclusive compound undergoes nine refining processes and is responsible for restoring strength and shine to any hair, from moderate to the most severely-damaged hair textures. It is even more effective when the HRC is combined with our ionic and Nano Fuzeion technology. The HRC are found only in FHI Heat's Hot Sauce.



Carbon Composition
- This space-age formula gives FHI Heat's combs the power to withstand up to 450 degrees F of direct contact with a flat iron. This is very helpful when heat styling. This mixture also allows FHI Heat to add its Nano Silver particles and anti static coating to further enhance the experience of all the products we create in this Carbon Composition. Currently used in FHI Heat's Carbon Combs, ionic blow dryer diffusers and blow dryer concentrators.
