Simple Care of Your KORE Shears
Now you have invested in one of the finest hairdressing tools available, it is essential that you protect your investment by taking care of your scissors. To maximize the effect of your scissors, follow these few simple steps after completing every cutting service and again at the end of the week when you pack up your tools for the weekend. It will only take a few minutes each time:
Step 1 Cleaning
With a small lint free cloth, wipe all excess hair from blades.
Step 2 Pivot Area Cleaning
With the scissors in the closed position, unscrew the adjuster so that you have enough room to wipe the cloth between each blade.
Step 3 Oiling
While the blades are separated, Dab just a single drop of clipper oil onto the pivot area.
Step 4 Re-Assembling
Re-tighten the screw, keeping scissors in the closed position.
Step 5 Horizontal Balance
Open the top blade of the scissor, keeping the bottom blade horizontal. Drop the top blade so that it falls smoothly to meet the bottom blade. If the top blade does not drop to meet the bottom blade, your screw is too tight. Close the scissors and turn the screw counter-clockwise and repeat the process until it drops smoothly. If the top blade drops too suddenly, then it is too loose. Close the scissors and turn the adjuster clockwise and repeat the process until it drops smoothly.
Step 6 Complete Process
Once you are happy that your scissors are correctly balanced. Open and close the blades a few times to allow the oil to work its way into the pivot area. Your scissors are now prepared for another service of great performance.
Servicing
It is advisable to send your scissors for a complete service once every year. This will insure that optimum performance is maintained.
Lifetime Guarantee
Each KORE scissor carries a Lifetime Guarantee. It is imperative however that your scissors are maintained regularly.
